These roasted fish jaws are delicious! They are roasted with raw salt and then squeeze some lime juice onto them. Fantastic! Fish jaws contain lots of gel, which is good to skin. This is one of dishes that one must try in any local seafood delis. This boxed snack costs NT$100. It sure can make you come back for more.

When I first saw this dog, I was shicked! How can a dog be so fat? Well, I think this dog must have a great time eating those dog foods. And it has become the mascot of this deli.

These are very common dishes in Taipei. You can almost find it in any night markets or traditional market. On the left is TianBuLa, which is made up of fish sticks, sliced blood sausage, turnip and bean curb. On the upper center is bamboo soup. Very sweet and the bamboo slices taste delicious. On the right is Braised Meat Rice. It's not salty, but bit greasy. The braised is made of pig's skin and meat, decilicious to eat. The egg is also cooked in the braise. Perfect combination.

This bowl of noodles (dry noodle) is very common in Taipei. You can find it near DaAn Park. It costs only NT$50, so it's a really smart choice. It's made of shredded vegetable and braised meat. Delicious!

This bowl of noodle is only NT$50! It taste really delicous, for some dare eaters, you can put in lots of hot peppers like me. Peppers are free, you can add as much as you want (just don't panic other diners).

my tirp to slovenia
yes, you might wonder where is slovenia. and is it a country or a small city? well, my friend, you are hald right. slovenia is a country, and i have to admit that the capital of this country is quite small. yet, you may wonder again, judging from its name, this country perhaps is located in the east europe. yes, it's near. but let me give you a clear outline. the border countries of slovenia are austria, hungary, and croatia. italy is just short distance separated by the adria sea. if you are going to slovenia by train via vienna. it will only take 4 hours to get to Ljubljana, its capital.
slovenia enjoys a geographical advatages in the middle europe. some even say it is a hidden treasure of europe. and after i visited the country, i have no doubt of that.

music bands in taiwan
i went to a band performance last saturday.
the performace was held in a pub called RiverBanks in taipei.
the performance was great.
this performance was organized by Treesmusic, which invited two bands to sing together.
one of the bands was Sheng Xiang & Water 3, a Hakka band.
the lead singer Sheng Xiang is a very talented singer.
he wrote many songs about Hakka people's life and the changes of taiwan.
he is nominated in this year's Golden Melody Award, which is the most prestigious award in taiwan.
hope this and will grab a few awards home.

working on saturday
i want to reveal the cruel side of taiwan.
almost all of the laborers here get no pay for working on weekends.
the bosses don't compensate for the working hours.
we have to sacrifice our time for work.
and the bosses expect us to work with all smiles.
if we don't work on weekends, we might even get some decrease in pay or threats.
everyone outside taiwan always think taiwan is heaven.
because the cost living is quite low, and everyone looks rich.
but that is just skin deep.
actually we are poor and treated inaccordingly.
sorry for ourselves.

my recent travel
this february, i went to europe for a three weeks' trip.
and i saw lots of thing that possibly i will never forget.
and to my disappointment, i really don't have time to write everything down.
there are lots of thing that i want to share with people.
so i finallyy decided to use blogging technology to document my idea.
with this method of writing, i can write anything that pops into my mind.
and what's more convenient is that i can poast my notes and probably my picture anytime from anywhere as long as tthere is internet available.
so i wrote a very rough draft of my recent travel.
and just to share with everyone.
but i still have to wait awhile until my iBook is fixed.
because i have saved part of myjournal in it.
and i really hope that Apple engineers can bring back my files.
by the way, i really like Tiger and spotlight,
i use it on other computers, and these technologies are really amazing.
and the weather is still hot here in taiwan, even at night.
i am looking forward to my long vacation in August.
then i will have more to blog.

we are having rain season here.

but i like the weather before the rain comes,
because the wind blows very hard.
just want to post a note.

editor's notes
i was working on the cocktail article for my magazine.
and i found out some interesting facts.
jerry thomas was crdited the father of cocktails.
and his famous mix was Blue Blazer.
well, i am not a cocktail lover myself.
but i'd love to drink it.
well, of course, without fire in it.
another is that drinking cocktail is all psychology stuff.
the cocktail you choose looks stylish, and you definitely are in the style.
i have many things to say.
will post it later.
